The province of San Juan, a highly pro-mining region, is located in central-west Argentina in an area mostly covered by mountains. San Juan has been recognized as a destination for mining investments over the last two decades, where political authorities have developed projects up to the mining stage. Condor Prospecting assets are located in the western border of San Juan, next to the international boundary with Chile. The projects location has been strategically selected over the Miocene metallogenic belt which hosts renowned Au-Cu exploration projects and productive deposits such as Veladero, Pascua-Lama, Pachón, Altar, Azules, Del Carmen, Filo del sol, Josemaría in Argentina and many more in Chile.
While the metallic exploration development in the Andean Chile has evolved in the last decades, the Argentine Andean ground is still underexplored hosting most of the same geological features as the neighboring country, encouraging explorers with great opportunities for new discoveries in the region.
The potential of the assets located in San Juan is related to Precious and Base Metal porphyrys and epithermal deposits.
